DCOM 101 - Introduction to Data Communications 3 Credit(s).
Provides an overview of computer networking including servers, switches, routers, LAN’s, WAN’s, network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, network topologies, and wireless. Topics include network design, implementation, and management, security configuration, and troubleshooting. Designed for a student pursuing a career in networking. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.
Prerequisite(s): ESOL 042 and ESOL 044 or ACLT 052 ; and MATH 081
