CMDP 102 - Issues in Addiction Counseling

3 Credit(s).

Discusses clinical issues encountered as a chemical dependency counselor; includes the various models of addiction, progression, diagnosis and dual diagnosis, recovery, relapse, the intervention process, and effects of addiction on the family. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): ESOL 054  and ESOL 052  or   or ACLT 053
