This is a suggested full-time schedule for a student who has completed any developmental course work and has no transfer credits. Refer to the College catalog for specific requirements in selecting General Education courses .

Choose courses in each category from the list of approved General Education Courses . One course must be a Diversity course.
- Arts and Humanities (CMNS 101 recommended) 3 Credits.
- Biological and Physical Sciences 3-4 Credits.
- Information Technology (CSIT 111 recommended) 3 Credits.
- Mathematics (MATH 163 recommended) 3-4 Credits.
- Social and Behavioral Sciences 3 Credits.

Choose 6 credits of technical electives.

*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed college coursework at other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 in the first semester at CCBC. This is a 1-credit class, and it does not count towards the number of credits required for a degree or certificate. Students are required to provide an official transcript(s) to document successful completion of college coursework at another institution(s) for this requirement to be waived.
The Network Technology program is designed to provide students with the technical skills required for entry-level employment and with the course work necessary to transfer to a four-year institution. Students may select between the Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, or Security option, or they may customize their technology electives to best suit their work or transfer needs. Most of the courses may be taken online as well as in the classroom.

Upon successful completion of this degree, students will be able to:
- install, configure, and maintain client operating systems in an enterprise environment;
- install, configure, and maintain servers and server operating systems in an enterprise environment;
- install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure for LAN and WAN networks and internetworks;
- diagnose and repair problems with servers, operating systems, and infrastructure in an enterprise system;
- administer networks and network operating systems;
- secure the above mentioned systems;
- advise senior staff/administration on issues surrounding network infrastructure;
- pass and maintain current industry certification in the area(s) specific to their program option (e.g., Red Hat, Microsoft, Cisco, Comp TIA); and
- represent the IT industry in a professional manner.
