Choose courses in each category from list of approved General Education courses . One course must be a Diversity course.

  • Arts and Humanities 3 Credits.
  • Biological and Physical Sciences 3-4 Credits.
  • Mathematics 3-4 Credits.
  • Social and Behavioral Sciences 3 Credits.

Additionally, A.A.S. programs must have 3 additional credits of general education. Check the Program of Study for specific, additional general education requirements.

Students must successfully complete appropriate developmental prerequisites, in addition to other specified prerequisites, before enrolling in any course that fulfills a General Education requirement. This degree requires 18-20 credits in General Education courses. Students pursuing the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in a career program should follow the curriculum under the selected program in the Academic Programs of Study section of this catalog. Students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution should contact an academic advisor for assistance in choosing General Education courses and program electives.
