*If you are a credit student who is new to college (meaning you have not successfully completed transferable college credit(s) at another institution(s)), you are required to take ACDV 101 during your first semester at CCBC, thereby increasing the number of credits required for the certificate by 1 credit. Students are required to provide an official transcript(s) to document successful completion of college coursework at another institution(s) in order for this requirement to be waived.
Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:
demonstrate mastery of the process and functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, staffing, and controlling) and the principles of managerial decision making through written assignments and in-class exercises designed to promote strategic thinking and analysis;
create, design, and deliver effective and well-organized oral and written presentations utilizing state-of-the-art technology; and
analyze the relationship between human resource management issues in the workplace and changing ethical and legal issues and how these changing paradigms impact the human resource management of a culturally diverse workforce.
This program is designed for the student interested in receiving basic background for employment in the field of human resource management. All credits successfully completed in this program may be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management.
