Although the Community College of Baltimore County has an open door policy for admissions, the Radiation Therapy Program is a selective admissions program and is highly competitive. Admission to the School of Health Professions programs is competitive and selective and is based on published criteria. For program information please go to http://www.ccbcmd.edu/allied_health/radiation/index.html.

In order to apply, you must complete a selective admissions application by February 1 for the fall session you intend to enter the A.A.S. degree program. The first step is to apply for admission to CCBC if you have not done so already. All School of Health Professions applications are available online only. Once a student has a CCBC ID number and a student SIMON account, applicants should go to their SIMON accounts and select the Student Services tab to locate the correct application.

Enrollment in this program is limited by the availability of clinical education facilities. The academic credentials of the most competitive candidates include a minimum of 2.5 overall GPA and the completion of BIOL 109 , PHYS 101 , MATH 135 , and RTTT 101  with a grade of “C” or better. These courses must be completed prior to the application deadline of February 1. Students meeting these criteria will be invited for an interview with the program officials and/or representatives. The competitiveness of admissions depends on the overall pool of applicants.

Students must be at least 18 years of age before entering RTTT 111 . Radiation Therapy students must achieve a minimum of a “C” grade in Radiation Therapy and related courses to continue in this program.

School of Health Professions Policies: Students in the School of Health Professions are expected to conduct themselves according to an honor code, exhibit professional behavior, communicate effectively in English, provide proof of health insurance and immunizations, and will be asked to submit to a criminal background check and random urine drug testing. Students are expected to incur costs associated with these requirements.
