Total Number of Credits Required for Certificate: 39*
* If you are a credit student who is new to college (meaning you have not successfully completed college credits at another institution(s)), you are required to take ACDV 101 during your first semester at CCBC, thereby increasing the number of credits required for the certificate to 40 credits. Students are required to provide an official transcript(s) to document successful completion of college coursework at another institution(s) in order for this requirement to be waived.
Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:
examine different methods of communication, problem-solving, and decision-making;
identify and interpret safety and health regulations as they pertain to construction; and
identify the Critical Path Method (CPM) when working with a schedule.
This certificate is for students who have completed a four- or five-year craft apprenticeship program in a technical craft area. The students will receive six articulated credit hours for each year of the apprenticeship program, equating 24 credit hours for a four-year program or 30 credit hours for a five-year program. These credits will be awarded after the student has completed two courses toward the certificate at CCBC. Courses may be taken in any sequence as long as course prerequisites are met. Some courses may be offered in alternate semesters only. A certificate will be awarded to students completing the courses with a 2.0 GPA or higher.
