Program Requirements:
Complete a four- or five-year craft apprenticeship program in a technical craft area (24-30 credits.) Breakout of hours articulate to the following classes: Program Electives:

*If you are a credit student who is new to college (meaning you have not successfully completed college coursework at another institution(s)), you are required to take ACDV 101 during your first semester at CCBC, thereby increasing the number of credits required for the degree to 65 credits. Students are required to provide an official transcript(s) to document successful completion of college coursework at another institution(s) in order for this requirement to be waived. Program Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this degree, students will be able to:
- read, visualize, and interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications;
- identify, describe, and select construction materials and methods used in residential and commercial construction;
- examine different methods of communication, problem solving, and decision making;
- identify and interpret safety and health regulations as they pertain to construction; and
- identify the Critical Path Method (CPM) when working with a schedule.
Program Description:
This degree is for students who have completed a four- or five-year craft apprenticeship program in a technical craft area. Students will receive six articulated credit hours for each year of the apprenticeship program, equating 24 credit hours for a four-year program or 30 credit hours for a five-year program. These credits will be awarded after the student has completed two courses toward the degree or certificate at CCBC. Courses may be taken in any sequence as long as prerequisites are met. Some courses may be offered in alternate semesters only. |
