AHL 218 - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Refresher

This course is designed to build on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This course is designed for healthcare professionals who have successfully completed an AHA ACLS course within the last 24 months and be proficient in BLS skills.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. recognize and initiate early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome; 2. demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating AED use; 3. identify other life-threatening clinical situations, such as stroke, and provide effective initial care and transfer to reduce disability and death; 4. communicate effectively as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.
