DCOM 142 - Introduction to Linux/UNIX


3 Credit(s).

Provides students with the fundamental concepts of Linux and other UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems. Students will use command line utilities, learn basics of shell scripting, pipes, redirection, filename generation and programming fundamentals. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 051  or ESOL 042  and RDNG 051  or ESOL 044  ; or ACLT 052  and MATH 081
